New interesting articles on Anatoli's Game Room
Alex Kawczynski’s blog – Anatoli’s Game Room – is well known in wargaming community (so if You never read it before, You should have a go!), as there’s always plenty of interesting reviews, AAR’s and information about miniatures and boardgames. Alex is also very interested in ‘By Fire and Sword’, since we published Polish (and then English) version he posted many interesting entries on his blog, reviewing and discussing the rules. This time we would like to draw Your attention to two of his most recent entries. Alex started series of articles where he describe different aspects of BFaS, especially on Skirmish level:
We think it’s very interesting in-depth look into the rules, useful for both new and experienced player. We hope to enjoy some such articles in future Alex!

2. Winged hussars - do we really have to say anything else about it?
3. Field hetman Jan Sobieski with retinue.
4. 'Polish style' dragoons' regiment.
5. Another photo of foreign infantry and cannons.
6. Some more winged hussars.
Those and other miniatures painted by Michał Cios You can see in his topics on our forum:

Polearms in BFaS - visualization
Spears, pikes, lances... so many of them that sometimes it's hard to remember what size is needed in Your army. In order to help with that we've prepared visualization of different polearms used in BFaS. It's part of our long term project to translate into English all materials available currently in Polish. You can download pdf from our website.
Hopefully it may be useful for all players during modelling process.

Disce puer latine...
Recently it came to our attention that we really need to learn Latin. You may ask why? Well… it seems that we made mistake in name of one of Special Rules in Swedish army. On p. 287 of Polish rulebook/p. 291 of English rulebook You can find rule called ‘Bellum se ipse allet’. Problem is, that correct version of this phrase is ‘Bellum se ipsum alet’. Michał ‘Kadrinazi’ Paradowski, who is in charge of checking historical accuracy of all names, was duly punished: demoted from colonel to private and he will be send to participate in next available forlorn hope. The fact that no one else noticed that error for so many years is not excuse… and we need scape goat anyway. So from now one, any new Swedish-related materials will have correct version as ‘Bellum se ipsum alet’.
