Danish Skirmish Force in Scania/Holstein in 1657

As the full army list for the Kingdom of Denmark and Norway is still a WIP, we decided to present the players with one of the Danish skirmish forces available, as a sample of this army. The full list will contain 2 more skirmish forces and 4 divisions. The Danish skirmish force in Scania/Holstein is mix of lower quality national (Danish) troops and better trained mercenary units. Such blend of troops was typical for the Danish military in the 17^th century. We also included the famous Snapphanar, in this case we tried to balance both the unit and its influence on the battlefield. You will find some modeling suggestion for all the troops, based on current Swedish and Danzig models (some extra information will be provided on the BFaS forum). In the future – once we release the Imperial and Brandenburg miniatures – they will also be suitable for the Danish army.

This is the final update of the By Fire and Sword 2014 Championships Participant Package. The enlistment is now completed.

The main objective of the Championships is to grant you an opportunity to play a great game in exceptional surroundings as well as a chance to spend two days among people (from all over the world) who share your passion.

Those of you who did not have the opportunity yet will be able to meet all the members of our team (unfortunately excluding Kadrinazi). The following will be present at the Championships:

Sosna – head of Wargamer and the whole project

Szwelick- author of the game and head sculptor

Dobywszypałasza – historical consultant and sculptor

Raff – the person who makes the game look so amazing

Aldlin – chief of our Royal Foundry

Ciosu – the Royal Painter

Skoczek – the Royal Sculptor

Dudek – the Royal Foundry

Kadzik – referee – member of Wargamer Wilcza crew

Zarek – referee – member of Wargamer Wilcza crew

Awaperun – artist, author of arts you will see in the Deluge

Kubun – showman – member of Wargamer Bydgoszcz crew

Moreover the participants will be able to:

- see the rich collection of the Museum in Wilanów (tours will be organized during breaks between battles);

- pay with ducats for food in a catering company on the tournament site – this will be confirmed during the event;

- purchase individual figures and accessories from our foundry at promotional prices;

- participate in a draw of gifts from us and our sponsors. The draw will take place after each tournament game;

- participation in a Painting competition during the tournament.

The following participant package will be a small addition to the above attractions:

-  a badge with name and your forum nickname

- a complete set of tournament documentation

- a limited edition special figure – A PRISONER – the figure can be used for Skirmish level games analogically to Peasant Informer and Messenger.

- set of markers – elements for scenarios

- set of arts from the game – you will also be able to get authors’ autographs

- 5 ducats

- BFAS faction mug (a choice of 6 designs)

Finally, we have a surprise for you. During the Championships we will show you a preview of some of ‘The Deluge’ materials. Yes, you will be able to see some pagers from ‘The Deluge’ expansion – new army structures, unit descriptions, rules etc.
