Erik Jönsson’s recon group
Erik Jönsson’s recon group
We’ve promised to celebrate reaching 150 backers so here’s (after short delay) something special as thank You! From our website You can now download brand new historical skirmish force:
It’s called 'Erik Jönsson’s recon group' and You may be wondering what is so special about it? First of all, Erik Jönsson was to be later known as Erik Dahlberg, ‘Vauban of Sweden’. His skirmish force is unique, as it’s mix of Swedes, Transylvanians and Zaporozhian Cossacks. Of course there’s miniature of Erik himself: Officers and High Commanders will receive him as freebie, while Soldiers can purchase him as special add on with his skirmish group. We’ve prepared this battle group as exclusive for Kickstarter, so currently it’s the only way to buy whole force. For 40 GBP (no matter of Your rank) You will have:
- mounted miniature of Erik Jönsson + Swedish ensing and musician
- 15 miniatures of Swedish reiters with arquebus
- 15 miniatures of Transylvanian light cavalry
- 12 miniatures of mounted Cossacks
- 12 miniatures of Moloitsy to be used as dismounted Cossacks
So in total: 45 mounted and 12 dismounted miniatures, giving You enough miniatures to field whole recon force.
As it’s special offer it can only be used as add on, this skirmish force cannot be taken as part of the base of Your pledge.

Just short summary of our first visit at Historicon Historical Games Convention – Fredericksburg 2014.
The con was great. Well prepared and full of interesting games and events which I - unfortunately – wasn’t even able to taste. Why? I was stuck on our stand and tried defend position against endless wave of fans of our game. It was absolutely fantastic that on the second side of the planet so many people knows and likes By Fire and Sword. I have never expected that.
We had first small tournament of the game outside Europe. We had only 5 players but I hope that it is the beginning. Appropriate set of prizes were distributed among all participants.
I would like to thank to all great people I have met during Historicon. Especially I would like to thank you to all backers from our previous Kickstater who was able to visit our stand during the Con. Many thanks for Jeff, Scott, Frank and GamePoet for their enthusiasm and support.
Our presence at the con was possible due to help of our US based co-operant and friends. So special thanks to:
Rafał Olszewski – for pick up, transport and accommodation and simply everything.
Adrian Mandzy – our historical consultant and proofreader for his great companionship, transport and translations (my English is still not as good as it should be).
Andy Turlington from Sgt, Major Games – for preparing our stand and help during the convention and all support
Thank you guys so much!
Last but not the least great special thanks for Karl – His Royal Highness from our previous Kickstarter. I was really delighted by exceptional warm welcome, delicious dinner and after party of course. I’m really sorry that I had not shown you appropriate respect and let my Ottomans to crash your
Poles :-) The commander guilty of this lack of respect has been already executed.
Definitely we would show up on Historicon again next year.

So the moment we’ve all been waiting for finally arrived. ‘The Deluge’, next supplement to ‘By Fire and Sword’ is on Kickstarter! Join us in re-enactment of one of the greatest wars of 17th century. Three new armies: Holy Roman Empire, Brandenburg and Transylvania will be unleashed into Eastern Europe. There’s plenty of new rules and new great miniatures that will come with ‘The Deluge’. We will be gradually presenting them during the 45-days long project on Kickstarter.
You can find more details about our game and ‘The Deluge’ on campaign’s site.
